Alma’s girls bowling team scored an 841-840 win over Ovid-Elsie at 300 Bowl last week.
“Our first baker was a 155 to their 203 but we turned it around to win the second baker 190-138,” Alma coach Ken Shunk said. “Starting our first Peterson game our leaders were Susan Schultz with a 195, Morgan Johnson a 187 and Brittney LaCross with a 180. Total score was a 807 for the first Peterson. For our second Peterson, we were led by junior Susan Schultz with a 232 and Kemmie Shunk with a 215.”
The game ended with a close match win 841-840.
“It was a nail biter right to the end,” Shunk said. “But our fourth and fifth bowlers Susan and Kemmie were able to finish the game strong with Kemmie having the last six strikes in a row.”
