Grand Rapids West Catholic scored with 1:07 to play on a 3-yard run by Travis Russell Saturday for a 24-20 victory over Lansing Catholic in the Division 5 state title game at Ford Field.
The Cougars came back from a 17-0 deficit with a 7-yard TD run by Tony Poljan, a 41-yard pass from Poljan to Zac Baker and a 22-yard pass from Poljan to Tony Palmer. Both teams entered the game at 12-0.
