It was literally a homecoming for the Lansing Catholic girls golf team when four former Cougars competed for their universities at the Mary Fossum Invitational at Michigan State University Sept. 13 and 14.

Mackenzie Johnson and Jacqueline Setas competed for Michigan State at the event, while Alyssa Albright and Danielle Crilley competed for Oakland University. Another former Cougar, Janie Fineis, is a member of the Unversity of Notre Dame golf team but did not compete in the tournament.

Notre Dame won the tournament title by three strokes over Michigan State, while Oakland finished 12th.

Setas, a freshman, finished in 24th place as an individual for the Spartans, while Johnson, a junior, placed 67th. Albright and Crilley tied for 35th overall and led the way for Oakland.
