With a talented and hungry senior class, the Greenville football team is looking for a bounce-back year after going 2-7 last fall.
This year’s Yellow Jackets have a number of talented players returning on both sides of the ball. On offense, senior Kyle O’Connor (6’1″, 180 pounds) is taking over at quarterback, where he will be looking for speedy senior wideout Eric Plate (6’0″, 180), who has game-breaking speed. Seniors Kolton Dunham and Tristan Dunham lead the way at running back. Providing O’Connor with plenty of protection is a strong, veteran offensive line anchored by senior Steve Eipper (6’4″, 270), who has committed to play for Central Michigan University. Joining Eipper on the line are Andrew Guckes (6’1″, 190), Colin Guckes (5’9″, 240), and Ray Moreno (6’1″, 200).
On the defensive side of the ball, senior linebacker Chase Harrington (6’3″, 215) is a talented veteran with college potential. Hunter Tobey and Jake O’Herron return at the defensive end posts. In the secondary, O’Connor returns at safety, while Plate and Kyle Swindell (5’11”, 170) bring speed and quickness at the corners.
