Players returning: Marshall Walters (QB/LB), Cory Moore (DB), Spencer Moore (DB), Brandon Blair (OL), Tristen Betts (OL)
Outlook: Although hit hard by graduation, Corunna does have some key veterans around whom to build. The young players are talented, and this team will only get better as the season progresses.
Durand
Nickname: Railroaders
Coach: Mark Worsham
2013 Record: 1-8
Players lost: Jordan Pearce, Eli Walter, Kyle Graham, Jacob Yager
Players returning: Matthew Hunt (WR/CB), Cody Graham (QB/LB), Jacob Patsey (RB/CB), Cody Tenis (C/DT)
Outlook: Progress has been difficult for the Railroaders, who have won just three games over the past four years. This year’s team has some solid seniors, especially at linebacker and on the line.
Beecher
Nickname: Buccaneers
Coach: Courtney Hawkins
2013 Record: 8-3
Players lost: Brandon Mixon, Robbie Brown, Tevon Bailey, Mustafa Hopkins, Marquis Colburn
Players returning: Raumello Cooper (DB), Jawuan Taylor (RB), Marcus Wright (DB), Jelani Taylor (DB), Edward Gaines (FB/LB)
Outlook: Beecher has turned into a football school as well as a basketball school under Hawkins. This year’s team features plenty of speed and athleticism, and with numerous starters back, it has a boatload of experience.
Goodrich
Nickname: Martians
Coach: Tom Alward
2013 Record: 3-6
Player lost: Andrew Sweet
Players returning: Eric Hildebrand (WR/FS), Michael Marston (RB/LB), Patrick Sutherland (DT), Landin Mitchell (TE/LB), Jay Vallie (TE/LB)
Outlook: Goodrich featured a young team in 2013, and the growing pains it suffered last year should pay off this season. It has a solid group of talented players in the backfield and along the lines.
Lake Fenton
Nickname: Blue Devils
Coach: Eric Doyle
2013 Record: 8-3
Players lost: Neil Allor, Chase Hull, Tyler Smith Tim Symons, Andy Donoho
Players returning: Chad Christian (QB/LB), Trent Hillger (RB/LB), Mitchell Bollinger (WB), Anderson Muenzer (OT/DT)
Outlook: The Blue Devils have been on a roll during playoff time the last few years, and with Chad Christian joining them at quarterback, another big year should be in store.
Montrose
Nickname: Rams
Coach: Dennis Reinhart
2013 Record: 12-1
Players lost: Malik Taylor, Jimmie Hodge, Dakota Jelinek, Riley Warren, Ben Turchi, Tyler Doyle
Players returning: Alex Elasivich (RB/LB), Ian Reinhart (RB/DB), Jacob Brabant (OG/LB), Tye Mitchell (OT/DE)
Outlook: The Rams captured a second-straight league title last season and came within a point of defeating state champion Ithaca in the state semifinal. Unfortunately, many of last year’s starters have graduated, so major re-tooling needs to take place.
Mount Morris
Nickname: Panthers

2013 Record: 3-6
Players lost: Isaiah Collins, Tony Saldana, Bryce Watts
Players returning: Cody Bland (RB/LB), Stephen Collins (RB/CB), Brandon Richardson (DL), David Ott (C/LB)
Outlook: The Panthers suffered a down year in 2013 but return some talented defenders and a good senior corps. Making headway in the GAC Red, however, is not easy.
