Okemos opened the football season with a 28-14 victory Thursday over Mason. Okemos scored 21 points in the second quarter to blow the game open. Kyle Krumm caught scoring passes of 6 and 31 yards from Grant Klaver and Kome Johnson had a 28-yard run.
