The building process continues this season for the Owosso girls soccer team.
With several players returning from a team that went 9-9-1 last season, and with some promising newcomers, the Owosso girls are looking to continue the improvement this spring.
Senior goalkeeper Kendall Mallory and senior midfielder Madison Van Epps return to give the team good leadership. Junior midfielder Courtney Constine and junior forward Brittney Crawford both earned all-conference honors last season. Junior midfielder Abbey Edwards and junior defender Megan McGill also return for the Trojans.
Freshman forward/midfielder Taylor Porter is a talented newcomer who will make an impact.
“I look forward to having many new players join the varsity this season, as we continue to develop as a girls’ soccer program,” coach Chris Bird said. “Our core group of returnees has already set a positive, driven tone for the rest of the team, and we are ready to hit the field.”
