Joshua Attwood is coaching a Swartz Creek team that he suspects will be very competitive this season.
Top athletes are expected to be Renee Genovesi in the 400-meter dash, Alena Benjamin in the 300 hurdles and Iman Taylor in the shot put and discus.
“I expect that our team will compete in every meet and hopefully push towards the upper half of the Metro League standings this year,” Attwood said. “Students need to maximize their training and be able to push one another to excel. The weather has been a hindrance, but we will not let that be an excuse why we cannot meet our goals.”
