Midland improved to 14-9 last Friday with a district championship win over Midland Dow 56-49. Midland led 14-9 after the first quarter, but Dow was up 27-26 at halftime and 40-38 after the third quarter. Midland had an 18-9 scoring advantage in the final quarter. Jess Walker scored 17 points for Midland while Alex VanSumeren scored 13 points and Lily Hami had 10 points.
