Big Rapids’ hockey team fell to 4-15-2 with a 7-6 overtime loss against Mount Pleasant on Monday. Sterling Brinker scored Big Rapids’ first goal on an assist from Garrett Garner. Brinker assisted on Jordan Smith’s goal to give BR a 2-1 lead. Jeremiah McReynolds scored with assist to Brinker and Brad Walling for a 3-1 lead. Brinker scored again on an assist from Smith for a 4-2 lead. Michael Green scored for the Cards, assisted by Brendan Bomay, to make it 5-3. Garner scored the sixth Cardinal goal.
