The dual season for the Big Rapids wrestling team ended with a 61-14 loss on Wednesday to Chippewa Hills in the Division III finals.
Big Rapids netted wins from Nick Worden at 125 on decision, Alim Muhammad at 140 on technical fall and Desaun Griffin at 160 on pin.
Big Rapids ended its dual season with 11 wins.
“That’s quite an accomplishment for basically half a team,” Big Rapids coach Dan Sleeper said. “For this young of a team, to get 11 wins…we usually voided four to five weight classes. We were very happy the way the kids performed. We have improved. We still have lots of things to improve on. The young guys are already looking forward to next season.”
