Lansing Eastern was eighth among nine teams at Saturday’s Ionia Wrestling Invitational.
Carson City-Crystal won the event with 349 points, followed by Livonia Stevenson with 272, Jackson Lumen Christi with 244, Hudsonville Unity Christian with 202, Portland with 195, Ionia with 194, Delton Kellogg with 184, Lansing Eastern with 154.4 and Grand Rapids Forest Hills Eastern with 100.
Jeff Mills of Eastern won the 215-pound class with a 5-4 win in the finals over Brad Osterman. Eastern’s Jerek Crim lost 6-5 in the title match for 171 pounds to Connor Vaughan of Livonia Stevenson.
