Freeland’s girls basketball team got off to a quick start and held back Alma Tuesday night in a 61-49 victory. Freeland was up 13-9 after the first quarter, 27-16 at halftime and 45-30 after the third quarter. Kenzie Seeley drained five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to lead Alma. Maddy Seeley followed with 16 points while Kendall Vedrode had nine points and Lexi Morton four points. Alma fell to 2-3.
