Karli Herrington of Hemlock joined the 1,000-points career scoring mark with 16 points Friday night in a 59-14 victory for Hemlock over Ovid-Elsie in girls basketball action. Herrington joins her sister Shelby as the only two players in Hemlock girls basketball history to break the 1,000-point total.
Hemlock had leads of 14-0 after the first quarter 33-2 at halftime and 53-10 after three periods. Herrington also had seven rebounds and two steals. Also for Hemlock, Abbi Phillipson had 15 points,
