Peck was too much in a 67-32 victory over Rapid River for the 8-man state football championship Friday at Greenville’s Legacy Feld.
This marked the third year the MHAA has sponsored 8-man football and the second straight season the title game was staged in Greenville.
Peck led 14-0 after the first quarter, 28-8 at halftime and 59-24 after the third quarter. Tristen Haener threw seven touchdown passes and scored on on a run. He was 12-of-16 for 379 yards. Peck had a 544-279 advantage in total yards. Kyle Abrego caught six passes for 236 yards and four TDs while Tyler Beurmann had five catches for two touchdowns and 133 yards.
Joey Pries had 14 tackles for Peck.
