Pewamo-Westphalia ended a fabulous season at 10-2 on Saturday in a 31-14 regional finals loss to Harbor Beach, which improved to 11-1.

Harbor Beach had a 9-0 lead in the first quarter and stretched it to 17-0 in the second. Ross Wolniakowski had a 14-yard run for P-W to make it 17-6 at halftime. It stood that way until the third quarter when Kyle Nurenberg passed three yards to William Fandel for a touchdown, cutting Harbor Beach’s lead to 17-14. But Harbor Beach scored on a 50-yard TD run and 40-yard interception return for 14 uncontested points.

Defensively, Nurenberg, Aaron Rademacher and Lane Simon had seven tackles each, Nurenberg had a sack. Offensively Nurenberg passed 27 times and had 12 completions for 141 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Wolniakowski and Nurenberg had 17 rushes each for 89 and 58 yards.  Jordan Krausz had one catch for 38 yards.
