New Lothrop will be playing in the state semifinals on Saturday with a 12-0 record. The Hornets defeated Ottawa Lake Whiteford 58-22 n the Division 8 regional finals last weekend.

New Lothrop had a 28-0 lead after the first quarter. Amari Coleman had scoring runs of 9 and 39 yards while Josh Wending had a five-yard TD scamper and Quentin Taylor had a fumble return for six points.

Whiteford scored 16 points in the second quarter but New Lothrop had TD runs of 60 and 7 yards by Coleman and a 41-yard run by Taylor Krupp.

 

Kyle Chappell had a safety in the third quarter and Chappell a 27-yard run in the fourth. Luke Harris had eight tackles for New Lothrop. Ben Muron was 2-of-4 for 68 yards. Krupp caught two passes for 68 yards. Coleman had five carries for 118 yards and four TDs.
