Eaton Rapids put the wraps on an impressive season with a 49-0 loss to DeWitt in the state regional Division 3 finals on Friday at Dewitt. Eaton Rapids ended with a 7-5 record. Eaton Rapids finished the regular season at 5-4, which was not enough wins for an automatic bid to the playoffs. They had enough computer points for an at-large bid and won their first two playoff games.

DeWitt, 12-0, had a 35-0 lead at halftime and the second half was played with the running clock. Quarterback Jared McDaniel was 1-of-11 in passing for Eaton Rapids.

 

Looking ahead, Eaton Rapids has 10 players coming back on defense and eight on offense.
