Big Rapids’ football team will not win a playoff spot automatically, but can still get a winning record by winning its next two games.
On Friday, Big Rapids edged Holton 40-35 to improve to 3-4.
Ty Lattimore had a 2-yard run for the Cardnals and it was 8-9 at halftime. Big Rapids had 20 points in the third quarter with TD runs of 1 from Lattimore and 4 and 17 from Jon Spicer.
Spicer also had an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Lattimore led Big Rapids with 110 yards rushing while Spicer had 91 and Kyle Parsley added 64. Spicer had 46 yards receiving.
