Big Rapids opens its football season Thursday night at Reed City with hopes of upending the Coyotes two straight 9-0 regular season records and Central State Activities Association titles.
Big Rapids is coming off an 8-2 season from a year ago when their only regular season loss was to the Coyotes. They were 0-1 in the playoffs.
The Cards lost a key player in Nick Baldwin but have fine players back like Lucas Armand, Eric Boyd. Jamison Green, Ty Lattimore and Remington Ulman.
“We need to do more work to create our own identity,” said coach Mitch Cumings.
