Rockford took fifth place in Wednesday’s competitive cheer O-K Red Conference meet at West Ottawa High School. Hudsonville posted a final score of 773.80 and East Kentwood was right behind at 762.96 and Grandville in third at 756.
Taking fourth at 752.62 was West Ottawa, followed by Rockford at 716.3 and Grand Haven at 571.38.
After the first round, featuring cheers, Hudsonville had 234.1 points, followed by East Kentwood at 231.3, West Ottawa at 231.2, Grandville at 230.5, Rockford at 219.5 and Grand Haven at 196.5.
Following the second round, featuring tumbling, Hudsonville was still up at 464.6, followed by East Kentwood at 459.26, West Ottawa at 457.72, Rockford at 430 and Grand Haven at 349.98.
Rockford’s lineup featured seniors Kelsey Curtis, Katie DeBoer, Tori Elliott, Kenzie Foss, Jordyn Hills, Kenzie Koval, Hanna Peasley and Kinzy Russ.
