Patrick Burnham, Portland’s 285-pound wrestler went 5-0 in the Pine River Invitational on Saturday while 189-pound grappler Hunter Scott also had an outstanding day with a 4-1 mark.

“Some of the kids are making progress,” said Portland coach Scott Sandborn. “We have Patrick Burnham back from a concussion who went undefeated at heavyweight.”

Burnham, a junior was gone for four weeks with his injury, and had one pin.

Scott, a junior, had one match at 215 pounds. His only loss was against Hesperia.

Scott is 18-4.

Also for Portland, going 3-2 for the day were Tony Savage at 112, Aaron Rutka at 130, Alex Young at 135, Derek Gardner at 152 and Graham Ferris at 215.
