BIG RAPIDS — Undefeated Crossroads Charter Academy took a 48-44 West Michigan D League girls basketball victory over Brethren Thursday night.
Malory Carlson scored 15 points, including 12 in the third quarter and had nine rebounds while Alyssa Larson added 10 points for Crossroads which is now 7-0.
The Cougars opened the third with a strong fullcourt press and it paid off with Carlson scoring her 12 points in that eight-minute span to get the hosts back in the game.
Brethren led throughout the first half.
