Chippewa Hills and Shelby tied 245-245 Saturday for the Joe Loren Memorial Invitational.
Both Shelby and Chippewa Hills placed 14 wrestlers in the top eight to tie for first place in Saturday’s meet.
Chippewa Hills won the tourney last season and Shelby has won it in previous years.
For the Warriors, Jason Peacock (152) and Cole Thielen (215) were first; Zach King (112) Johnny Lynch (119), Latear Dukes (145) and Richie Ostrander (103) were second; Mason Dey (135) was third; Andrew Whaley (285), Devin Esch (160) and Kevin Briscoe (140) were fourth; Tyler Boerma (189) and Joe Coleman (130) were fifth; Derek Strobel (171) was sixth and John Wixson (125) was eighth.
Peacock improved his record to 18-0 with a 3-1 decision over Terry Grieser of Lakeview in the title match. Thielen is now 16-2 after pinning Buck Tottingham of Reeths Puffer in the title match in 3:26.
For the Chippewa Hills White team, Mike Felix (130) was fourth; Slade Todd (135) and Jack Johnson (140) were seventh and Jon Spedowski (160) was eighth.
