The girls’ swimming and diving season ended with three Lower Peninsula state championship meets November 16-17.
The Division I meet was in Holland, where West Ottawa took first with 295.5 points. Rockford was sixth with 136.
The Rams were second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:36.87. Team members were Kennedy Cutler, Kristen Schnelle, Dakota Noble, and Erin Hudson . Cutler was also second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:04.33.
Rockford took fifth in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:46.28.
Cutler was seventh in the 100 freestyle in 52.74. Megan Schremp was sixth in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:08.27. Rockford was seventh in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The Division 2 meet was at Oakland University. Holland took first place. Midland was 10th, Bay City Western 12th, Okemos 19th, and Heritage 21st.
In the 200-yard intermediate, Riley Hilbrandt of Heritage was sixth and Kara Dean of Midland Dow seventh in 2:08.38 and 2:09.96.
Carly Schafer of Okemos was sixth in the one-meter dive with 364.85 points.
In the 500 freestyle, Krissy Harmon of Bay City Western and Ellie Dean of Dow were third and fourth in 5:01.88 and 5:03.80. Hilbrandt was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.51.
The Division 3 meet was at Eastern Michigan University.
Alma placed 13th and DeWitt was 22nd.
Lillian Vandemark was seventh in the 200-yard intermediate in 2:17.3.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Rosalie Yockley of DeWitt was fourth in 1:56.75.
