Big Rapids Crossroads lost Tuesday night to the Baldwin Panthers 58-15 in the West Michigan D League opener for both teams.
Crossroads is 1-1.
Andon Ware scored 24 points and Brandon Childress added 13, all in the first three quarters. Childress and Jacob Burton both had eight rebounds.
“We have a lot of learning to do. We’re a young basketball team and we’re doing what young basketball teams do,” said Crossroads coach Jason Kostecki. “We turn the ball over. We have to figure out how to put the ball in the basket.”
Mark Brandly led Crossroads with four points.
“Our defense wasn’t terrible,” Kostecki said. “In the first half, we played OK, but Baldwin did a good job getting us out of rhythm in turnovers. We had way too many turnovers.”
