Lakewood won its first ever volleyball state title with a 25-20, 25-18, 25-17 decision over North Branch Saturday in Battle Creek in the title match.
Lakewood ends the season at 52-4. North Branch is 68-8-1.
Emily Kutch had 18 kills and Olivia Davis 14 for Lakewood. Brooke Wieland added 31 assists and 11 digs.
Jamie Barrows had 20 assists for North Branch.
