It was a busy afternoon and evening of college signings as many area athletes signed their National Letter of Intents during the early signing period Wednesday. Highlighted by Freeland’s Tori Jankoska, who verbally committed to Michigan State University as a 15-year-old finally made it official signing with the Spartans and coach Suzy Merchant at the Freeland Sports Zone among friends and family.

“I just want to think all of your for coming out this evening and sharing this great day with me and my family,” Jankoska said. “Now that it’s over it is time to concentrate on the season.”

Freeland made it to the state semi finals a year ago and have set the bar even higher this season.

Jankoska is a leading candidate for Ms. Basketball this season.
