Ithaca has extended its winning streak to 40 games and is two wins away from the Yellowjackets’ third straight 14-0 state championship season in Division 6.
Ithaca improved to 12-0 Friday with a 31-0 regional championship victory over Montrose.
Sage DeMull kicked a 40-yard field goal. That was the only scoring in the first quarter, Ithaca had 14 points in the second quarter, seven in the third and seventh in the fourth. Travis Smith was 12-of-19 in passing for 236 yards and a touchdown. He rushed 10 times for 52 yards. Brian Shaw ran seven times for 47 yards. Caden Kipp caught three passes for 96 yards.
Defensively, Rickey King and Dakota Reeves had 15 tackles apiece.
Ithaca plays Shelby, 10-2, at Ferris State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
