Balance was the key for the Rockford boy’s cross country team as it captured the Division 1 regional title at Allendale.

The Rams had a total of 10 runners finish in the top 10 individually to dominate the race. Rockford finished with 35 team points while Kenowa Hills took second with 79 and Grand Haven third with 88 points. Lowell finished in the top 10 as the Red Arrows placed ninth while Greenville finished in 10th place.

Individually, Kenowa Hills senior Jeff Bajema took first place with a time of 15:34.73. 

Senior Casey Aman led the way for Rockford as he took fifth place in 16:17.00. Aman led the way for six straight Ram runners who followed him as he was followed by senior Austin Benoit (6th 16:24.38), senior Grant Aman (7th, 16:24.71), senior Chris Coles (8th, 16:31.63), freshman Isaac Harding (9th, 16:33.09) and senior Drew Woznick (10th, 16:34.14 10).

Sophomore Zac Diamond led the way for Lowell as he finished 31st overall with a time of 17:31.69. Fellow sophomore Nick Macdonald was 40th overall with a time of 17:46.90 while senior John Mark placed 50th in 18:05.89.

Senior Kyle Reamer led the way for Greenville as he finished 48th in 8:02.66. Junior Kenneth Wood followed one place behind with a time of 18:04.71.
