The Grand Ledge boy’s cross country team earned a trip to the Division 1 state finals thanks to a third-place finish at the Division 1 regional at Portage.
Hudsonville won the regional with 63 points followed by Portage Central while the Comets took third with 95 points.
Grand Ledge had a trio of runners finish in the top 10 individually. Junior Nathan Megge led the way as he placed third overall with a time of 16:19.5. Junior Michael Buffin placed sixth overall with a time of 16:39.5 while senior Austin Rios placed ninth in a time of 16:48.9. Senior Tyler Bannhard placed 35th overall in a time of 17:37.5 while senior Ben Heriford Grand Ledge was 42nd in 17:48.0.
