The Greenville girl’s golf team is headed to the Division 2 state finals next weekend at Grand Valley State University after finishing in the top three at Wednesday’s Division 2 regional at The Links at Bowen Lake outside of Greenville.
Muskegon powerhouse Mona Shores won the regional title with a 317 total. The Sailors had the top four scores at the regional as Hailey Hrynewich won medalist honors with a 76, Morgan Smith fired a 79 and Britni Gielow and Kelsey McKinley both fired 81s to place third.
Greenville placed second with a 354 team score. Jessica Bohner paced the Yellowjackets with an 83 while Britta Bernth and Lauryn Day both shot 85.
Lowell finished in eighth place overall as a team with a 438 team score. Senior Sophie Kohtz paced the Red Arrows with a 103.
