Keegan Rohdy has been leading the way for Farwell football in the early stages of the season.
Rohdy, a senior has two kickoff returns for touchdowns and had 325 yards rushing after his first three games.
“He’s a great kid, works hard and is a big asset to the team,” said Al Esterline, Farwell’s coach.
He plays running back on offense and safety on defense.
In the season opener against Coleman, he had 228 yards.
In the next two games, “it’s been a little slower,” Rohdy said. “Against Marion, I broke the kickoff return record (82 yards). I originally broke it against Coleman and broke it again against Marion.”
He rambled down the sidelines on both occasions.
Rohdy last had a kickoff return for a touchdown as a freshman for the JVs.
“I feel I’ve been running the ball a lot harder than I’ve been in the past,” he said. “I have some pretty fast linemen that I can get around the edge and block. That helps a lot.”
Rohdy has noticed considerable improvement from a year ago.
“I’ve been running a lot harder this year,” he said.
Rohdy also starts on defense.
“I can run people down if they break free,” he said. “I have that ability.”
Rohdy also runs track.
“It helps me a lot with my endurance and stamina,” he said.
