The Mason Bulldogs continued the strong start to the football season by defeating Eaton Rapids 41-18 to improve to 2-0 for the season.

The Bulldog offense was in high gear as the passing game totaled 248 yards and the ground game rolled up 191 yards rushing.

Austin Droscha and Hunter Holbrook both ran for over 50 yards while quarterbacks Jarrett VanHavel and Nathan Jones keyed the passing game.

Eaton Rapids countered with the one-two punch of quarterback Jarred McDaniel and running back Jacob Oberlin-Scott. McDaniel passed for 236 yards while Oberlin-Scott rushed for 124 yards.

Eaton Rapids fell to 0-2 for the season with the loss.

Mason looks to go to 3-0 next Friday when it travels to Jackson Northwest. 

Easton Rapids also hits the road as it travels up M-50 to take on rival Charlotte.
