The Hemlock Huskies picked up their first win of the season as they defeated Shepherd 35-0.

Hemlock scored points in all four quarters and received a big defensive effort to earn the win.

Tony Speckhard opened the scoring for the Huskies as he went 50 yards for the first score of the game.

Hemlock upped the lead to 14-0 in the second quarter on a three-yard touchdown by Dylan Honsinger.

The Huskies blew the game open in the third quarter with a pair of touchdowns. Speckhard scored on a 58-yard run while Ethan Apsey connected with Jacob Walry on a 35-yard scoring strike.

Austin York closed out the scoring with a 45-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.    

Speckhard led Hemlock with 143 yards rushing while Honsinger added 82 yards rushing.

Hemlock returns to action Friday at Bullock Creek.
