Lakeview’s boys soccer team lost to Big Rapids 4-0 in a season-opening game against the host Cardinals on Tuesday.
Big Rapids opened a 3-0 lead after the first six minutes of action. Scoring for the Cardinals were Kyle Brady on an assist from Seth Stratz, Scott Vander Sloot, who was also assisted by Stratz, and VanderSloot again.
Zach Jodersma scored in the second half on a pass from Shawn Heroor.
Jared Warden of Big Rapids had five saves in getting the shutout.
