Former Portland High School football player Bridger Buche is back to work and resuming his football career after signing a one-year deeal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.
A 2007 graduate of Portland High School, Bucke played his college football at Eastern Michigan University where he finished playing last fall.
Buche went undrafted in this year’s NFL draft but stayed in contact with the Steelers. Buche was in camp with the Steeler’s on Wednesday.
The Steelers open the pre-season on Aug. 9 when they travel to Philadelphia and then play the Indianapolis Colts in a home game on Aug. 19 that will be televised nationally by NBC.
