Senior captains Kaylee Davisson and Brittni Tucker led the way for an Ovid-Elsie tennis team that went 4-5-0 this season and brought home seven medals.
The Marauders recently had their season-ending banquet.
Junior Jamie Russell received the Coach’s Award, was voted co-captain for next season and was voted Most Improved Player. Russell played No. 2 doubles and went 11-8 for the season and brought home two second place medals.
Most Inspiration Player honors went to senior Brittni Tucker. Brittni played No. 11 doubles, went 12-6 for the season and brought home a first- place medal.
Most Valuable Player was senior Kaylee Davisson, who played No. 11 singles, went 10-8 for the season and won a fifth-place medal. Biggest Heart award went to junior Kathleen Miller, who played No. 2, 3 or 4 singles at some point during the season.
“No matter what we threw at her, she never gave up,” said O-E coach Ralph Kridner.
Junior Kristine Batora played No. 1 doubles and was voted co-captain along with Jamie Russell.
“They will be leading this team next season and hope to have a great senior year,” Kridner said.
