The Clare Pioneers volleyball team lost to the Pine River Bucks 25-8, 25-14, 25-19 in the Class C district semifinals at Farwell on Nov. 2.
The season ended for Clare at 13-27-1.
Pine River improved to 39-12-5.
Erica Packard was 7-for-7 serving with one ace, four points served, one kill, and four digs, Rachyl Randall with 6-for-7 serving with one ace, two points served, three kills and nine digs, Bailey Reger with three aces and three points served, Courtney English with four kills and two solo blocks and Sarah Walton with three points served and one kill.
Also leading Clare were Katelynn Smith with 40-out-of-41 setting with five assists, Bailey Thayer with two points served, two kills, 31-out-of-34 setting, and 14 digs; Haley Smith with one kill and two digs, Corrine Wezensky with one ace and one point served, and Haley Hensley with eight digs.
