The Williamston girl’s cross country team is headed to the Division 2 state finals thanks to a strong effort at the Division 2 regional meet at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson.
Williamston finished in third place overall with 127 points to qualify for Saturday’s Division 2 state finals at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.
Senior Hannah Grischke led the way for the Horntes as she finished seventh overall in a time of 19:26.3. Senior Erica Halm placed 16th in 20:25.3 followed by junior Raelynn Rasegan (19th, 20:28.8), senior Katie Bollman (42nd, 21:29.6), freshman Emma Eisenbeis (43rd, 21:30.3), sophomore Angela Maurer (45th, 21:37.3) and junior Brianne Belanger (58th, 22:14.3).
