The Mason girl’s cross country team will be heading to the Division 2 state finals thanks to a strong performance at the Division 2 regional meet at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson.
The Bulldogs were led by standout freshman Meg Darmofal who won the race in a time of 18:51 and will lead the Bulldogs into Saturday’s  Division 2 state finals at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.
Chelsea won the regional title with 63 points followed by second-place Mason with 111 points and third-place Williamston with 127 points.
Darmofal was followed by junior Cassidy Hass who placed 11th in a time of 19:38.1, sophomore Abbey Soule (23rd, 20:41.5), sophomore Nadia Riggs (24th, 20:46.2), freshman Leaha Sinnaeve (52nd, 22:04.2), freshman Alexis Lyons (60th, 22:16.6) and Sophie Ryal (69th, 23:01.7).
