Charlotte girls place 10th at regional cross country meet

The Charlotte girl’s cross country team wrapped up the season with a tenth-place finish at the Division 2 regional at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson.
Chelsea won the regional title with 63 points followed by Mason in second with 111 and Williamston in third place with 127. Charlotte totaled 262 points to place tenth.
Sophomore Hannah Garn led the way for the Orioles as she finished 14th in a time of 19:59.7. Sophomore Lucy Sare placed 38th in 21:23.6 followed by sophomore Kaitlin Stults (65th, 22:42.2), junior Abby Manning (71st, 23:04.4), sophomore Andrea Garza (74th, 23:11.1), junior Taylor Richey (81st, 23:23.8) and senior Jen Hansen (89th, 24:07.2).
