The Rockford boy’s cross country team has made a habit of qualifying for the state meet having reached the state finals every year since 1996.
The Rams extended that streak in a big way Saturday as they won the Division 1 regional at Allendale. The Rams took first place with a total of 47 points followed by O-K Red rivals Grand Haven with 63 and Grandville with 87.
Senior Tyler Harney led the way for the Rams as he placed fourth in a time of 16:15.4. Junior Drew Woznick placed eighth in a time of 16:28.5 followed by junior Casey Aman (9th, 16:28.9), senior Andrew Pitcher (12th, 16:33.6), junior Chris Coles (14th, 16:41.5), junior Grant Aman (15th, 16:43.9), and junior Austin Benoit (25th, 17:15.2).
