Lakeview girls golf coach Dan Willison calls senior Kylie Stewart the “big story” this season.
Stewart fired a 94 in early September at the Farwell Invitational to take medalist honors in the senior division.
“Up to this year, her best score has been 95 at regionals last year,” Willison said. “She shot that 94 at Farwell and then had a 92 at our [Central State Activities Association] meet at Canadian Lakes. And also a 93. She’s shot the best rounds of her career in the last week. She is playing very well.”
Willison has been impressed with Stewart’s chipping and putting.
“That’s been the big difference,” he said. “She has 28 putts yesterday and has had anywhere from 38 to 40 before.”
