For the boys, Farwell lost 15-48 to Evart but beat Harrison 23-32 on Wednesday, Sept. 13, in cross country action. For the girls, the Eagles won 21-33 over Harrison and lost to Evart 21-36. The meet was at Evart.
For the girls, Sharrow placed second in 21:44, Christine Katona seventh in 23;32, Abby Nordstrom ninth in 23:58, Julie Swinehart 12th in 24:27 and Rochelle Myers 13th in 24:53.
“I did really good,” Sharrow said. “I got second and was real excited.”
For the boys, Bobby Byard was sixth in 18:58, Greg Shimmons eighth in 19:20, Greg Saupe, ninth in 19:40, Terry Fedewa 14th in 20:31 and Kurt Meister 15th in 20:32.
“Bobby Byard is a great leader on the team here,” said Farwell coach Andrew Frisch.
“it’s been all right,” Byard said. “I’m trying to get some better times. I had a pretty good time (at Evart). I’d like to get down into the mid-18s. My last mile could be better.”
