Defense was the name of the game for the Saranac football team as the Redskins dominated Portland St. Pats in their 34-6 victory.

It looked to be a close game at the end of the first with a score of 7-6, but Saranac turned it on in the second quarter, scoring again and making the score 14-6 then adding two more in the third making it a 28-6 game. Saranac added six more points in the fourth quarter to get the 34-6 victory.

Shane Gunter led the way with 141 yards on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns while Mitchell Blood went 78 yards on 10 carries. Dylan Leland and Dalton Rehmert each added a touchdown.

Saranac’s defense forced two turnovers and held the Shamrocks offense to only 141 yards.
