“We played OK.”
That’s what Breckenridge football coach Cary Huntoon said of his team’s 35-22 victory over Vestaburg to open the regular-season last week.
When his team is home against Michigan Lutheran Seminary this week, Huntoon wouldn’t mind seeing his team play more than OK.
“Offensively, we did well,” Huntoon said, adding that his team this week is working on “tackling and conditioning.”
He’s not expecting a easy clash against Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
“They’re very well disciplined,” he said. “They don’t make mistakes.”
In the win over Vestaburg, Dirk Stoneman had a 62-yard touchdown run on the game’s first play. He had 88 rushing yards and 136 passing yards and also threw for two touchdowns.
Jared Westall had three pass catches for 112 yards while Garrett Doolittle had 13 tackles.
