MORLEY — Chase Huntey connected with Travis McCuaig three times for touchdown passes and Steve Malloy’s tackle helped preserve a 21-20 Morley Stanwood Mohawk victory in Central State Activities Association action Friday night.
Trailing 21-14, Holton scored on Chase Smith’s 2-yard run to close it to one-point with 5:07 to go.
But then Malloy made his play when Smith passed, on the 2-point try, to Brad Epplett who was stopped at the 2.
Holton got the ball back with 1:37 to play but Cody Hollister intercepted a Smith pass with 30 seconds to go to seal the win.
Malloy wound up with 174 yards rushing. Huntey completed five passes for 103 yards.
