Central Montcalm lost to Chippewa Hills 47-32 in the Central State Activities Association opener for both teams on Friday.
Trent Karcher and Jared Emerson scored three touchdowns apiece for Chip Hills.
Kegan James had a big day for Central Montcalm, completing 12 of 27 passes for 207 yards. He had two touchdown passes to Lucas Emmons and also ran for two scores. On the ground, James gained 107 yards on 24 carries.
Will Plavin caught five passes for 94 yards while Emmons had three receptions for 56 yards and Ben Bishop had two for 37 yards.
Emerson had an 82-yard kickoff return for Chip Hills.
