Carson City-Crystal is hoping to bounce back from a 44-0 loss to Pewamo-Westphalia in first-game performance last weekend.
“We went up against one of the best teams in the conference,” said Eagle coach Jason Gray. “We moved the ball early on offense but turnovers led to us getting behind. Pewamo scored three TDs in a span of three minutes due to turnovers.
“Our kids played hard and we were always one block away from a 2-yard play being a 20-yard play. Jack Powers led us on defense with 14 tackles.’
Coming up this weekend, “ we go against Fulton, our main rival,” Gray said. “ In addition to the game, we are paying honor to our 1991 team that went 8-1. So it will be a big night for CC-C as we honor the past and achieve in the present.”
